Getting Started

Getting Started with Streak Mode

Streak is designed to be usable in under a minute. This guide walks you through creating your first habit and understanding what the numbers mean.

1. Add your first habit

Head to your dashboard and type the name of a habit you want to build — something like “Drink water,” “Read 10 pages,” or “Stretch.” Pick a color so it’s easy to recognize at a glance, and you’re tracking.

Our advice: start with one habit, not ten. A single habit you actually keep beats a long list you abandon.

2. Check it off each day

When you complete a habit, tap its checkbox. That’s the whole daily ritual — one tap. The moment you check in, your streak count ticks up and the day is recorded. The seven-day grid on each habit shows your recent history so you can spot patterns.

3. Watch your streak grow

Your streak is the number of consecutive days you’ve completed a habit. It resets if you miss a day — and that little bit of pressure is exactly what makes streaks effective. Want to know why? Read Understanding Habit Science.

4. Review your stats

The stats page shows your completion rate and longest streak for each habit over a rolling window. This is where you see the honest truth about your consistency — not how you feel, but what you actually did.

Next steps

Once you’ve got the basics, the natural next goal is your first 30 days. We wrote a full playbook for exactly that: Building Your First 30-Day Streak.
